BNR Newsradio the national broadcasting station with non stop news
bulletins recently started using SpeechFrame® of Comsys to provide
listeners with the latest information about traffic speed controls.
Speechframe® is an interactive voice response- (IVR) and telephony
platform for automated call handling. Listeners pass their information
about traffic speed controls via the IVR to the station, this
information is then shown immediately on the website and on the screen
of the radioannouncer.

| Because
of the growing number of listeners of BNR Newsradio the number of speed
control reports also increased to several hundreds per day. To process
all these reports BNR Newsradio decided to automate this process. With
SpeechFrame® messages arrive on the server and are published
automatically internally and on the website. Apart from that they are
being refreshed constantly. The messages are recorded on the IVR by one
of the announcers of BNR Newsradio
Michiel Bicker Caarten, chief editor at BNR Newsradio:"we have
been using the system for a month now, and it works fully satisfying.
The next step will be connecting the traffic control information with a
0900 number,so that listeners can query the locations of speed controls
at any time and don't have to wait for the information to be
broadcasted on the radio. We will be using this number to provide news
items as well."
Hans Stapel manager Sales and Marketing at Comsys:
"SpeechFrame® combines the advantages of telephony and the web and
takes care in this way of an optimal supply of information for
listeners of BNR Newsradio. Because of the flexible infrastructure the
use of SpeechFrame® can be expanded easily. The system connects very
well with the future plans in this area of BNR Newsradio."
