Barcelona (GSMA)/Soesterberg/Rotterdam, 12th of February 2008 – Comsys, a specialist in interactive telephony, today announced it will partner with COLT Telecom for the development and delivery of hosted IVR services based on an innovative media platform. These hosted IVR services offer new capabilities for media organisations as well as companies specialised in the delivery of mobile content.

Comsys’s SpeechFrame platform will form the basis for the physical media platform located at COLT Telecom’s data centre in Amsterdam. Comsys will handle the maintenance and management of the SpeechFrame platform. Initially, Comsys and COLT Telecom will concentrate on the development of new interactive services for the Benelux region. If the collaboration proves successful, the partners will be able to leverage COLT Telecom’s pan-European network to roll out the services across all European markets from the platform based in Amsterdam.

The interactive applications will be built using the SpeechFrame system, a platform that has been specially developed by Comsys for the development of interactive services. Video IVR is one of many examples in this respect. This service enables the exchange of video content to and from the mobile phones of customers.
