A large part of the Annies (that is the nickname of the agents) who work from home in a place that is decorated to their own wishes, at times that they are able to work, without having to leave the house. Everybody has access to a home working space, a phone with headset, a pc and internet through the cable or ADSL. They have to be able to telephone and surf the internet at the same time. Call sheets and databases are available through their own employee website. This all makes the system very accessible for people with a handicap. Especially these people are very motivated and driven and fit in perfectly with the work Annie Connect does. Annie Connect thrives to obtain a database of employees of whom at least half have a handicap or another disadvantage on the job market. Of course there are also Annies who prefer to work (part-time) outside of their home. They are able to work in one of atmospheric call centres in Veenendaal or Breda.

Difficult times a lot of lessons learned
After a huge uncontrolled growth within the first three years, the year 2003 was a very difficult year. The growth was so immense within the first three years. The number of Annies grew from 20 to 450 which is a huge increase definitely, if they do not work in an office, but from their own home. The year 2003 started off as an  economic bad year, but thanks to a new way of working and the introduction of a new system the basis for the future was created. Growth can now be combined very well together with continous quality.  

A new system
Annie Connected developed together with its platform supplier Comsys; a very advanced an unique system that in 2004 has made sure that:
• Increase of the productivity
• The flexibility of the Annies is kept
• The quality is measurable
• There are new possibilities in the area of recruitment
• The Annie Connect concept can be translated to other countries
• Increase in profitability

The new system (ATWT=Annie Tele Work Tool) is built to adapt to the wishes of the users as much as possible.
